LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Accused of making threats of a campus shooting, Jennifer Grant appeared in a Nacogdoches courtroom Thursday. She is charged with a terroristic threat, a felony offense.

Grant's lawyer, John Heath Jr., said he's hoping to reach a resolution that's fair to everyone, including the community. He said his office and the District Attorney's office are trying to look into what is behind the threat allegations.

"Her life is forever changed and I'm pulling for her like I'm pulling for every young person who's ever tried to take a college class where we all get stressed out, where we all feel like if I don't get this paper turned in my life is going to collapse," said Heath.

He wants to reach a resolution without having to go to trial, but if it comes to that, they are willing to litigate. Grant's court appearance was re-set to a later date.
