Caffe Tazza’s Granita

Caffe Latte Granita



1 cups of freshly brewed coffee (if you have an espresso machine, make 2 Americanos)

¼ cup sugar

½ cup whole milk (soymilk makes a great substitute)

2 cups ice

Vanilla ice cream

Whipped cream

Cocoa powder



  • 1. Brew your coffee (preferably using Caffe Tazza dark roast coffee, 2 teaspoons per cup)
  • 2. Pour your coffee into a large mixing bowl
  • 3. Whisk in the sugar to completely dissolve it
  • 4. Add the milk
  • 5. Place 2 cups of ice in a blender
  • 6. Pour the mixture over the ice
  • 7. Pulse and mix until the mixture is a fine granular consistency
  • 8. Pour into 2 glasses
  • 9. Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream
  • 10. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cocoa
