Trinity man dies after driving into pond

TRINITY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A Trinity man was pronounced dead Tuesday night after his vehicle was found in a pond a day after his apparent wreck.

According to DPS, Kenlon Stuart Keys, 82, was driving his 1990 Toyota Camry westbound on FM 356 at 8:20 p.m. Monday when he left the road and drove into the pond.

According to the report, Keys was not pronounced dead until 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday, at the scene of the wreck.

Trooper Daniel Walker said Keys car was discovered in the pond by a motorist Tuesday night. He estimated the time of the wreck due to Keys last being seen Monday morning and according to his usual driving routine.
