Texas Forestry Museum gives local kids a lesson in wildlife

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The Texas Forestry Museum wrapped-up their Summer Sylvans Camp Friday, and the campers got a very special visit from who else, but Smokey the Bear.

Each day the camp offers a theme for the 1st through 4th grade campers and the Amigos De Bosque were there to raise awareness about snakes and wildlife, and KTRE's Holley Nees learned a lesson about kissing boa constrictors.

Don't worry, the snake was not harmed in the taping of the story.
