Nacogdoches police investigate two overnight robberies

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Nacogdoches police are investigating a string of robberies that occurred an hour apart early Saturday morning.

According to Sgt. Keith Hawkins, an unknown male dressed in all black and wearing a ski mask, demanded money at gunpoint around 3 a.m. at the Chevron in the 3200 block of Northwest Stallings Drive. Less than an hour later at 4.m. another robbery took place at the Chevron in the 4900 block of North Street.

According to Hawkins, police are trying to determine if the robberies are connected or just a coincidence.

He said no one was injured, and it's unknown how much money was taken.
