Radio station keeps the faith

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Two local radio stations that have been around the area for more than ten years are in danger of going off the air.

KSWP and KAVX both are in need of new transmitters. The station's engineer patched their current transmitter, but said it could last five days or five months. The station's general manager said so far some listeners have responded, and they will take all the help they can get.

"We are seeing funds come in each and every day, thank you everyone who's doing that donation," said KSWP/KAVX General Manager Al Ross.

He said they have faith, God will get them through it, and it may take time, but the funds will come.
