LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - One East Texas hospital was recognized Thursday for their commitment to aggressively treat heart failure patients.
Memorial Health System of East Texas was presented the American Heart Association's Get With the Guidelines Heart Failure Bronze Performance Achievement Award.
Hospitals that receive the award have shown for at least 90 days that 85 percent of its eligible coronary patients are discharged following the American Heart Association's recommended treatment guidelines.
