LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The Lufkin Police Department said they have found the vehicle that fled the scene of the hit and run at the intersection of Harmony Hill Drive and Chestnut Street.
Police declined to say if they had a suspect in the case, they did confirm that an arrest has not been made.
The wreck happened Friday July 17, 2009 when according to Lufkin Police two people were rear-ended by someone driving a white ford pickup. They were then transported to a local hospital.
Police said the driver of a blue probe ford apparently failed to yield right of way when they pulled out in front of the truck. The driver of the pickup's license plate did fall off in the wreck. Police said the driver of the truck wasn't at fault, but could be charged with felony hit-and-run. The two people that were hit have been released from the hospital.
