Lufkin, Nacogdoches ISD get 'acceptable' ratings

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin and Nacogdoches school districts are rated as "academically acceptable," according to the Texas Education Agency's report released Friday.

Douglass ISD received an "exemplary" rating.

Three Angelina County school districts, Central, Hudson and Huntington, received "recognized" ratings. No campuses in the county were rated as "unacceptable."

Six Nacogdoches County ISDs, Chireno, Garrison, Woden, Central Heights, Martinsville and Etoile received "recognized" ratings.

Mike Moses Middle School and San Augustine Intermediate received an "academically unacceptable" rating.

The SFA charter school also received an "exemplary" ranking.

Though all three schools in Grapeland ISD are rated as "acceptable," the district received an "academically unacceptable" rating.
