PITTSBURG, TX (KLTV) - At the age of 94, Robert Farley clearly remembers his three and a half years as a Navy Sea Bee in World War Two. In fact, in 2003, he wrote a book about his experiences entitled "Robert's Navy Adventures." Farley joined the Sea Bees in August of 1941, and, with the bombing of Pearl Harbor by the Japanese in December, war was imminent.

Farley at first was sent to Alaska and then to Saipan in the South Pacific, and then on to Okinowa where shelling by Japanese soldiers and Kami Kazi suicide planes were constant dangers as he worked to establish a water supply for the island.
