LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The cities of Lufkin and Nacogdoches have revoked permits for APX Alarms. That comes after numerous neighborhoods complained of harassment.

Residents said APX went door to door selling home security systems. Some even said they were duped.

"This thing, it never worked a day," said Roberta Stansberry, former APX Alarms customer. "It took them God knows how long and finally he [my husband] had SafeCo come back and put theirs in."

Stansberry said she called the APX customer service hotline countless times, but no one ever came to fix the alarm device. So, her husband switched back to their original home security provider.

The City of Lufkin said if someone tries to sell you an APX Alarm system, you should call police.
