NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Before the governor's election, there's a far less popular election dealing with amendments. It's November 3. So few people show up at these elections that election administrators usually consolidate polling locations. Preparations to do so in Nacogdoches began today.
"Most of the rural precincts have been left alone," Debra Gaston, election administrator explained. "Primarily we've combined those within the city."
TJR Elementary will be the city polling site. Consolidation cuts down on the number of election judges, which in the long run saves money.
