Jennings Station violators beware

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The overseer at Jennings Station said they are having problems with drivers cutting through their parking lot.

They have signs posted at both entrances and exits warning drivers to not cut through, but for about two years, the station said the problem has become progressively worse.

"They don't want to go all the way down first street, take a left so they just cut across our parking lot and go back down Angelina, head back down Angelina," said Jennings Station overseer Chief T. H. Wilson Senior.  "This might save them 45 seconds, maybe a minute of course they don't consider they are endangering themselves as well as other people."

He said the Lufkin Police Department will be stepping up patrol of the area and tickets will be issued.
