NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - It's been over a week since a so called 'puppy mill' was put to a stop in Nacogdoches County. The over 118 dogs, plus other animals remain in cages and stalls at the Nacogdoches Exposition Center. Not one has been adopted yet.
The Nacogdoches Animal Shelter isn't releasing any of the animals until all the seizure legal work is finalized. The former owner agreed on Monday not to contest the seizure.
Right now anyone interested in pet adoption can have their name placed on a waiting list. The public can't visit the animals, but they can view photographs. An album is on display at the shelter, located on the Nacogdches west loop.
