Former Lufkin Panther TJ Turner dead at 46

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Forty six year old T.J. Turner, former Lufkin Panther star, passed away on Monday after complications from a stroke. 

Turner played college football at the University of Houston and also in the NFL for the Miami Dolphins.  He was selected by the "fins" in the 1986 Draft.  He was a third round choice and 81st pick overall.

Turner played defensive end and nose tackle funeral services are scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at First Missionary Baptist Church in Lufkin.
