LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - More than 100 students per hour were registering for classes at Angelina College Wednesday.

The school also said the number of people applying for financial aid is way up from last year.   The community college said many people may have planned to go to a big university, but they just can't afford it.

"I'm not used to something that big," said Angelina College Freshman Shawn Brown.  "My class was like 332, that's usually how it is and it's pretty cool.  There's going to be a lot of new people to meet.  It's going to be fun."

Registration continued Thursday and late registration starts Friday and continues Monday and Tuesday.
