NORTH ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A Diboll woman lost control of her car while driving on Highway 69 North, hitting an oncoming vehicle in the southbound lane. Her daughter and the driver of the oncoming vehicle are being treated for serious injuries.
According to a DPS report, the heavy rain Friday morning caused Stephanie Cook to lose control. Witnesses say she spun her Isuzu Rodeo three or four times, crossed the median and hit the white Ford Explorer driven by Frank Loving, of Lufkin.
Cook's fifth-grade daughter is in stable condition at a Lufkin Memorial hospital while Loving is being treated for major head injuries at the same hospital.
