LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - An Angelina County Grand Jury has indicted all six connected to an alleged aggravated kidnapping which happened in June.

Ashley McLemore, 24, of Broaddus, Stephen DeWayne Wallace, 33, of Lufkin, Christopher Guffey, 29, of Lufkin, Gary Dale Allen, 31, of Vidor, Rachel Tutt, 21, of Zavalla, and Stephanie Powell, 37, of Lufkin, were indicted on aggravated kidnapping charges.

The six suspects were arrested following a car chase which ended in the Homer area of Angelina County.

According to previous reports, the sheriff's office received a call of a possible abduction in the early morning hours on June 23. Sheriff Kent Henson said the suspects stuffed the victim in the trunk of a car and at one point stopped and "beat her up pretty bad."

Law enforcement eventually engaged in a vehicle chase with the suspects which ended around noon on that day. Some of the suspects fled on foot and were caught at different parts of the day, except for McLemore, who turned herself in on June 26.

Bond is set at $500,000 each for the kidnapping charges.

Wallace was originally charged in the 2007 Etoile deaths, but a Nacogdoches County Grand Jury no-billed him.

The group is said to be a part of the Aryan Brotherhood, a prison-based gang.
