NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - SFA Lumberjacks may have enough depth and experience this season to sneak up on some teams this year and chop them down.

SFA went 4-8 in 2008 but they have been really emphasizing stepping up the defense this season.  Lead by senior defensive end Tim Knicky, and junior linebacker Jabara Williams will anchor the defense.

They make the road trip this Saturday night to SMU, who run the same air-raid aerial assault throw the ball all over the field just like the Lumberjacks.

As the team prepares for a big road test this weekend they will return home next week September 12th to host Texas College the home opener at Homer Bryce Stadium kickoff for that game is 6pm.  The game this Saturday at SMU is 6:00 p.m.
