NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Josh and Jordan Aubrey are identical twins that are true freshman on the SFA Lumberjacks football team.
"I remember one time Jordan blocked a kick I was there to pick it up and I had to tell him no let it go, let me get it," joked Josh.
The two are seeking plenty of playing time this season, and with the first game of the year is Saturday September 5th at SMU.
Jordan, who is older by a mere one minute, says the transition from high school to college, hasn't slowed him, or his brother.
"The difference of the game is not really a big difference of the game coming from 5A football there is not a lot of difference we just come out here and ball," Jordan Aubrey said.
It appears as though they will both be in the rotation as defensive backs.
The pair of twins declined other scholarship offers that would have separated them from playing together, several schools only offered one, but not both.
"It was between SFA and a couple of division two schools," said Jordan, "they tried to come after us everybody was talking about a recruiting us as one and we wanted to go together, so we shut the schools down because they only had one scholarship for one of us."
The Lumberjacks offered both Josh and Jordan athletic scholarships and now the rest is history.
"It's cool," Josh, "we are always fighting, and we always have a smile on our face every time we go by each other."
