People from all over East Texas and for miles around have come to see the debris from the space shuttle before it's all taken away. Some of them said that they came to get a glimpse of history, however sad it may be.
Many media organizations are also making a special trip to East Texas. Hundreds of reporters and photographers have swarmed into the region. Most stay close to the Nacogdoches Co. Law Enforcement Center, which some reporters have dubbed "Debris Central." Satellite TV trucks are parked throughout downtown and stations from all over the nation are here, as is the International Press.
Some of the countries getting daily news reports from Nacogdoches include Japan, Israel, Mexico, and Great Britain.
