Man arrested for capital murder at courthouse

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - In August of last year, Lamont Patton, 34 of Nacogdoches was found dead in the trunk of a burning car. More than a year later, investigators continue to make arrests for his capital murder.  The latest is Bakari White,26. The Nacogdoches man was arrested while appearing for a court date on another charge at the Nacogdoches County Courthouse. The heavily tattooed man is one of 3 co-defendants now accused of killing Patton. Sheriff Thomas Kerss says the motive appears to be drug related. The investigation remains active.
