NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A search for a missing Nacogdoches woman began in July. It continues, but with very few leads. The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Department is making a public plea for help.

The woman's name is Gregoria Martinez, 29. She is a Mexican national. She's the mother of two children who are American citizens. They were visiting relatives in Mexico at the time of her disappearance. The fathers of both children, one in Nacogdoches and one in California have been questioned, but investigators aren't calling them suspects.

"They claim to have no knowledge of their whereabouts. Her family in Mexico have not contacted any relatives and friends here to let them know she did arrive in Mexico with her children, so we don't have any reason to believe that she's there," Sheriff Thomas Kerss said.

Investigators are concerned that witnesses are slow to help because of concerns of deportation. Kerss assures all he's interested in is information that would help locate Martinez, nothing else. Call the sheriff's department or Crime Stoppers with information.
