NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Meet your Jack of the Week Vincent Pervis a fifth year senior from Texas City, Texas. A Running back that loves the way the team has gelled this season sitting at 3-1 with a big Southland Conference game this Saturday October 10th when the team hosts McNeese State at 6pm at Homer Bryce Stadium.

Pervis had a career high in rushing against North Dakota Sept. 26th He carried the ball 17 times for 154 yards. 

"We know we can pass everyone knows we can pass we want to let everyone know we can run also and what happened last week was it was working coach kept sticking with it we ran good we kept running good we ran hard me and Tyron both got over 100 yards career highs for both of us at SFA," Pervis said.  

Pervis is all business when it comes to receiving praise from the media.

"Winning Jack of the Week that's cool just little media thing that's fine but I don't mind it we can joke around about it and everything it doesn't really have and importance to me about what I have to do, still have to play ball. 

The Lumberjacks will try and get their first SLC conference win of the season against the number seventh ranked team in FCS.
