Judge approves mental exam for Lufkin robbery suspect

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A district judge has approved a mental exam for a robbery suspect to determine if he is competent to stand trial Tuesday.

Dominick Moore is accused of trying to rob a Nile Street home in August.  He was arrested along with two others and charged with aggravated robbery.

The suspects knocked on the door of the Lufkin home and were met by a babysitter. They told the babysitter they wanted drugs, forced their way in, and ordered her and the children to ground.

While they robbed the home, one of the children managed to sneak into a closet and call 911.
