HUNTINGTON, TX (KTRE) - Two Huntington-area parents are being charged with two counts each of endangering a child following a September drug bust.

According to an arrest affidavit, deputies found parts of a meth lab in the home of Joseph Cobb and Sharon Burch.

After the search, they contacted CPS about the possibility that the parents exposed their three children to meth.

On Oct. 7, CPS tested the children and two of them, aged 3 and 4, tested for the drug.

Sgt. Alan Hill says you don't have to be in the room where the meth activity is taking place, to be exposed.

"They're ingesting and absorbing this stuff through their skin and through their mouth," Hill said. "Anyone can, if they spend enough time in one of these houses, and theoretically would test positve for meth."
