Man accused in SFA student's slaying drops request for change of venue

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - One of the men accused in the March 11 shooting death of an SFA student in what police say was a drug deal gone bad dropped a request for a change of venue on Thursday.

A previous report states police said Marlon Randle, along with Okeiron Bowser and Marsh Odom entered the apartment of Charles Frazar to buy marijuana. When the three tried to rob him, Frazar attempted to stab them. It was then one of them pulled a gun and shot Frazar to death.

Randle is scheduled to go on trial on Nov. 16.
