Young Hudson students join the climb against drugs

HUDSON, TX (KTRE) - First graders at W.F. Peavy Primary School got a chance to rock climb Tuesday morning.

It's a program called Rock Solid Character that's part of the school's Red Ribbon Week. The students and even a couple teachers took turns climbing the 25-foot portable rock wall. The activity is designed to teach the young kids to make good choices and stay drug free.

The program directors said the goal is not necessarily to get to the top, but to have fun trying and do your best.
