DIBOLL, TX (KTRE) - A Diboll man suffered a compound fracture of his arm when a tree fell on him when his crew was clearing a lot on Arrington Street in Diboll, according to a Diboll police officer.
Around noon Monday, Patrolman Chris Pelletier said Larry Gossett, 68, had a chainsaw get stuck in tree his crew was working to cut down. They tied it off to work on getting it out of the tree when the tree gave way and snapped his arm. Pelletier said he may also have suffered a leg fracture.
A Lufkin helicopter was called to the scene and transported him to a Tyler hospital.
Pelletier said he thought the injuries would be non life-threatening.
