Magician visits Nacogdoches to raise money for Children's Hospitals

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A magician is here in East Texas to put on a show to benefit Children's Hospitals across the nation.

Robby Bennett said he wanted to do the tour because he knows what it feels like to be sick. He started doing magic professionally when he was 12 after he had to stay home from school a lot because of his illness. He said his favorite part of putting on magic shows is traveling and getting to meet new people and this is him today performing one of his tricks for an SFA student.

"I was one of those kids at one point and I know how lonely and insecure you can kind of get when you're sick," said Bennett.

You can catch Bennett's show "Where's the Rabbit?" Friday at 7 p.m. in the SFA grand ballroom on the second floor of the SFA Student Center.
