LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Houston-area man accused of trying to hide cocaine in mustard and peanut butter agreed to a seven-year probation sentence.

August Joe was arrested in August of 2008 after Angelina County deputies uncovered one-and-a-half ounces of cocaine following a traffic stop.

As part of the plea agreement, Joe will pay a $7,000 fine and serve 160 hours of community service. He will also testify against his co-defendant, Renee Cryer, who was also arrested following the traffic stop.

District Judge Paul White told Joe if he violated the probation, he would automatically be forced to serve a 10-year prison sentence.
