Lufkin woman dead after Friday afternoon wreck

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) – A Lufkin woman is dead after a car wreck Friday afternoon.  Fay Berry Terry, 64, of Lufkin died at 3:42 p.m. after she was taken to Memorial Medical Center in Lufkin.

William Edward Whitaker of Lufkin backed his 2001 Ford F250 without safety on the westbound shoulder of Hwy 103 East near Whitehead Road when he struck Thomas Norman Terry.  Terry of Lufkin was driving a 2001 Dodge Truck.

Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Rodney Tucker is investigating the incident.  The report does not indicate whether anyone will be cited in the collision. 

Fay Terry was pronounced dead by Dr. Edward Stephens at Memorial Hospital, she was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the incident.
