11/11/09 Lufkin Police Report

Theft; 1200 block of Douglass Road. Complainant accidentally left his wallet on a counter. When he returned, the wallet was missing.

Harassment; 900 block of rock oak. Complainant has received a harassing text message and a harassing telephone call from an unknown suspect.

Possession of marijuana; South Fredonia at Loop 224. Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic stop. Officer discovered a usable amount of suspected marijuana in the vehicle. James Linder was arrested.

Theft of A Firearm; 200 Block of Kent Street. Complainant reported that a pistol had been taken from a closet in the residence.

Criminal Trespass; 700 Block of Oakhill Plaza. Complainant reported that a window had been left open on an apartment and that an unknown suspect had made entry. Nothing taken.

Possession of marijuana; 1600 block of South Fredonia. Officer stopped a vehicle for traffic. Officer detected the odor of burning marijuana. Officer located a usable amount of suspected marijuana in the vehicle. Jasper Wharton was arrested.

Criminal trespass; 500 block of East Main. Unknown suspect entered the gated area behind a building and forcibly entered a building. Nothing taken.

Theft; 100 block of North Stallings Drive. A known suspect was observed taking money from a deposit. Investigation is underway. Amount of money is less than $1,500.00.

Forgery; 1900 block of East Main. Complainant was expecting a check in the mail. The check was cashed at a local business after being forged.

Assault; 4500 block of North University Drive. Misty Hollis was arrested after hitting the victim in the shoulder with her fist. No serious injury.

DWI; 3800 block of North Street. Officers stopped Jason Bishop on a traffic stop. He was suspected of being intoxicated and was arrested.
