Lufkin Industries subject of Jeopardy answer on Wednesday

LOS ANGELES, CA (KTRE) - A former pioneer at Lufkin Industries was part of an "answer" to a Jeopardy "question" Tuesday.

The popular game show uses a format which the game show host poses an answer and the contestants guess the right question.

"The modern oil-pumping unit was developed by W.C Trout of Lufkin Industries, based in this state," was the answer posed by host Alex Trebek.

"What is Texas," contestant Chris Rodrigues said.

Rodrigues, a personal banking representative from Massachusetts, finished second in Wednesday's game.

Trout developed the unit in 1926.
