Center man killed in Nacogdoches County car crash

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) – A Center man was killed in a head-on collision on State Highway 7, about 8.2 miles east of Nacogdoches, early Sunday morning.

According to the Department of Public Safety, Louis Rashad Edwards, 28, was traveling west bound in his SUV when he veered over the center line, causing him to collide with an oncoming car.

DPS said Edwards was ejected from his SUV after crashing into a Ford four door car. The driver of the car, Jessie James Rodgers Jr., 29, of Logansport was injured during the accident. Rodgers is in stable condition with broken bones at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital.
