Lufkin man pleads guilty to hit-and-run of city bus

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Lufkin man pleaded guilty in an October hit-and-run case of a Brazos Transit Bus Wednesday in district court.

According to prosecuting attorney Tony Latino, Coree Kennedy is sentenced to a seven-year sentence for probation violations and a five-year sentence for failure to stop and render aid. The sentences will be served concurrently.

According to previous KTRE reports, Kennedy hit the bus on the 1100 block of Sayers Street before running away on foot.

Three people reported minor injuries in the wreck.
