Angelina deputies arrest two in drug bust

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Angelina County Sheriff's deputies arrested two people in a drug raid in the northeast part of the county Thursday afternoon.

According to Sgt. Allen Hill, detectives had been watching the house, located on State Highway 103 east, for about a month and in the raid discovered an unknown amount of methamphetamine, needles and chemicals, as well as three guns and "a lot" of ammunition.

"These kids love their mom and dad no matter what their mom and dad do, these kids love them," said Hill.  "You can see the parents take decent care of the kids, I guess, but they're cooking dope and then one day they come home from school and their parents are gone, the police have come in there and raided their home, and displaced them here at Christmas. It's really hard.  That's what really hurts me, the kids."

Kelly Brown was arrested at the house and deputies arrested Jason Holdsclaw at another location.

Hill said two children, believed to be aged 7 and 9, live at the residence and they would be taken under the custody of Child Protective Services and tested for exposure to drugs.
