12/31/09 Lufkin Police report

Burglary, 3200 block Daniel McCall Drive: Complainant reported that two unknown men were banging on his door and apartment window and broke out the window on his apartment in a possible attempt to break in Wednesday night.

Criminal trespass, 2400 block Old Mill Road: Complainant reported that a known suspect came to her home early Thursday morning after having been warned of trespassing at that location.

Assault, 1800 block Sayers Street: Complainant is a 16 year old male who reported that he was shot in the leg by an unknown person early Thursday morning. The complainant said he was visiting a relative when he saw a large crowd watching some unknown subjects fight. Two shots were fired from the direction of that disturbance and one of them hit the complainant in the leg. The complainant was treated at a local hospital for a non-life threatening injury to his leg.

Forgery, 400 Block Bremond Avenue: Complainant reported that an unknown person stole some of his checks and forged several of them.

Theft, 2400 block N. Medford Drive: Complainant reported that two damaged air conditioning units were stolen from outside a building sometime this week.

Theft of service, 400 block Homer Street: Complainant reported that he did roofing work for a known suspect who now refuses to pay for the work.

Theft, 4500 block S. Medford Drive: Complainant reported that two unknown men put on some new shoes inside a store and walked out without paying for them.

Fraud, 1600 block E. Denman Avenue: Complainant reported that someone used his name and identifying information to obtain electric service without his authorization.

Theft, 3300 block S. First Street: Complainant reported that he paid a known suspect a $1,000 deposit on a boat motor and the suspect never produced the motor and is now apparently avoiding contact with the complainant. The complainant reported that he has since found out the man has a history of this type fraudulent activity and misrepresented his address to the complainant.

Harassment, 400 block S. Third Street: Complainant reported that he has been receiving harassing phone calls from a known suspect.
