Police Arrest Suspect in Teenager Shooting

Police have arrested a man accused of shooting a Nacogdoches teenager.

31-year-old Reginald Andre Bosley of San Augustine is in custody at the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Department. Bosley is charged with aggravated assault for allegedly shooting a 14-year-old teenager in the back.

Police say the teen and his brother were leaving a movie theater on Sunday night when they passed a truck driven by Bosley. He is accused of ramming the back of his brothers' vehicle and later firing shots at them, where he hit the 14-year-old.

Nacogdoches County Sheriff Thomas Kerss says Bosley has a violent history. "He is currently on parole for homicide. He has some other violent criminal history. We worked with his parole officer to locate him. We had him brought to the parole office and that is where he was arrested," Kerss said.

Kerss thanked the parole office for working with the sheriff's department in Bosley's arrest. He was scheduled to be arraigned the same day.

The teenager who was shot remains in stable but good condition. Sheriff Kerss says he hopes the boy's family and the community can rest a little easier knowing that Bosley is behind bars.
