LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) – Gas prices are definitely going up again. In fact, on average up a dollar over this time last year.

According to the AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report today's current average gas price in Texas for regular is $2.60.  That's up  from one year ago when the average was $1.60. It's also up thirteen cents a gallon from only a month ago.

The recent cold weather slows production of natural gas and fuels investors to buy more crude oil future contracts.
