LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - An employee of a Lufkin man who drove his million-dollar car into a lagoon confirmed a report that his boss had replaced the car.

A Lufkin man who crashed his million-dollar car into a lagoon near Galveston has replaced the vehicle, Jalopnik.com reports.

Andy House, 34, and his one-car wreck drew national attention when he blamed a pelican for causing him to drive into the lagoon near Galveston.

A YouTube video stirred up speculation that House may have driven his Bugatti Veyron into the lagoon on purpose to collect on the insurance.

The Web site points out House replacing the car counters that theory.

House was not immediately available for comment.
