1/12/10 Lufkin Police report

Criminal Trespass, 1212 East Denman Avenue: At approximately 10:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, a woman's estranged husband was reported to be violating a Criminal Trespass Warning.  According to the report, the victim reported to Lufkin Police Department Officers that her husband, from whom she is separated, appeared at her apartment, located at 1212 East Denman Avenue, and beat on and kicked the entry door.  The report stated that, from her apartment window, the victim observed her husband enter and look through her vehicle before driving away from the apartment complex in his vehicle.  The suspect was later arrested for an outstanding, unrelated warrant; the Criminal Trespass incident is under investigation.

Burglary/Habitation, 1000 Block Idylwood Drive: Between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, a residence located in the 1000 Block of Idylwood Drive was burglarized and a video gaming system was stolen.  According to the report, the victim returned home and discovered that a sliding glass door had been broken, that the contents of her drawers and closet were scattered, and that the gaming systems was missing.  The report stated that at approximately 4:45 P.M. a neighbor observed three male juvenile subjects enter the victim's back yard by climbing over a fence.  The neighbor stated that he was not aware of the burglary and thought the juvenile's were playing with the victim's dog.  The neighbor stated that the juvenile subjects fled the area on bicycles, and that he last observed them crossing the railroad tracks at Pershing Avenue.

Assault, 700 Block Ellis Avenue: At approximately 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, a husband and wife each reported that they had been assaulted by the other while at their residence, located in the 700 block of Ellis Avenue.  According to the report, the husband stated that his wife struck his face and that he pushed her off of him and the wife stated that her husband struck her face and pulled her hair.  Responding officers did not observe any injuries to either party.

Burglary, 1504 West Frank Avenue: Between the hours of 12:45 P.M. and 3:20 P.M. on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, a vehicle was burglarized while parked at 1504 West Frank Avenue.  According to the report, the actor(s) damaged the vehicle's dash and radio bezel while stealing a touch-screen radio.  The report stated that a beverage holder, a "Koozie", which did not belong to the victim, was located within the vehicle.

Theft, 900 Block Traylor Street: At approximately 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, scrap metal, vehicle headlamps, and sparkplug wires were stolen from a residence located in the 900 block of Traylor Street.  According to the report, the victim's residence had been damaged by last month's tornado and the victim had arranged for a neighbor to dismantle the remainder of a damaged metal building; the neighbor was to stack the useable metal siding and could keep the damaged siding.  The victim reported that the headlamps had been removed from a vehicle parked at the residence and, when she raised the vehicle's hood, she discovered that someone had stolen three of the vehicle's sparkplug wires.  The victim provided the name of a subject who she believed took the metal and vehicle parts.

Theft, 1100 Block Moss Drive: Between the hours of 4:30 P.M. and 5:30 P.M. on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, a bicycle was stolen from the carport area of a residence located in the 1100 block of Moss Drive.  The victim reported that she left her son's bicycle under the carport while she was away shopping and when she returned the bicycle was gone.  Although muddy tire bicycle tracks lead away from the residence, Officers were not able to locate the bicycle.
