Construction on USFS building moving along

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Construction is moving along on the new National Forest Service Lufkin office and officials are looking to begin moving in within four to six months.

The 18,000 square-foot, two-story building is expected to meet USDA green standards, which mean it will use 42 percent less energy and 50 percent less water than what is required by law. It will house 70 employees, who are now using a leased building in downtown Lufkin.
