LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) – An Angelina County mother and father were arrested in a drug bust Thursday night.
The home of Nathan Anderson and wife Ashley was raided by Angelina County Sheriff's Deputies on suspicion of a meth lab. Deputies indeed found lab components in the house at the end of TW Hill Road, off of FM 2108.
Their two children, a 3 year old girl and 1 year old boy were removed from the home and placed in CPS custody. Deputies said the children will be medically evaluated at an area hospital, in addition to being tested for drug exposure.
The children's parents were charged with possession of certain chemicals with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, in addition to endangering a child. Nathan Anderson was also charged with delivery of a controlled substance.
Angelina Sheriff's Department Sergeant Allen Hill said Nathan Anderson had just finished rehab.
