Criminal Mischief, 909 South Medford Drive: At approximately 3:00 A.M. on Friday, January 22, 2010, an unknown male subject removed a case of beer from a store located at 909 South Medford Drive without making payment. According to the report, a store employee followed the male subject as he ran to a vehicle parked on a nearby road; the beer packaging tore as the subject ran and cans of beer dropped to the roadside.
Criminal Mischief, 1710 West Frank Avenue: Between the hours of 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 21, 2010 and 2:30 A.M. on Friday, January 22, 2010, a window of a vehicle was damaged while the vehicle was parked in an employee parking area at 1710 West Frank Avenue. According to the report, the victim identified two female subjects that she believes are responsible for the damage to her vehicle.
Criminal Mischief, Keltys Street at Abney Street: At approximately midnight on Friday, January 22, 2010, a known male subject reportedly damaged the window of a female's vehicle. According to the report, the male subject struck and broke the vehicle's window as the victim drove past him standing at the side of the road.
Credit Card Abuse, 2500 Daniel McCall Drive: Between the hours of 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 and 6:30 P.M. on Thursday, January 21, 2010, a known female subject fraudulently utilized a friend's debit card to make purchases at local businesses. According to the report, the female subject obtained the victim's debit card by removing it from his wallet after he placed the wallet on the center console of the vehicle in which they were traveling together.
Burglary/Habitation, 2300 Block Fuller Springs Drive: At approximately 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 21, 2010, a residence located in the 2300 block of Fuller Springs Drive was burglarized. According to the report, a neighbor witnessed two male subjects exiting the burglarized residence carrying a flat-screen television. The report stated that the neighbor provided descriptions of the actors and a delivery driver described a vehicle and three male subjects that he observed in the area but responding Lufkin Police Department Officer were not able to locate them. The report stated that the actors forced entry into the residence by breaking a window and that a flat-screen television, a cable television receiver, and a laptop computer were among the items stolen from the residence.
Criminal Mischief, 700 Block Moore Avenue: At approximately 2:20 P.M. on Thursday, January 21, 2010, a female complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that a known male subject threw an object, possibly a log or a brick, striking and damaging the headlamp of her vehicle as she drove in the 700 block of Moore Avenue. According to the report, the male subject stated to officers that he did not throw an object or damage the complainant's vehicle. The report stated that the male subject reported that the complainant was attempting get him into trouble because he recently forced her and her family to move out of his residence due to lack of financial contribution toward bills.
Burglary/Vehicle, 1607 West Frank Avenue: Between the hours of 12:08 P.M. and 1:10 P.M. on Thursday, January 21, 2010, a vehicle was burglarized while parked behind a business located at 1607 West Frank Avenue. According to the report, the actor(s) forced entry into the vehicle by breaking the vehicle's rear, passenger side glass and removed from the vehicle a laptop computer and a purse containing the victim's identification, debit and credit cards, checkbooks, and other personal documents.
Theft, 816 North Timberland Drive: At approximately 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 21, 2010, a female subject attempted to steal food items from a North Timberland Drive grocery store. According to the report, the female subject was observed to be concealing items inside of her jacket so an employee of the store stopped her outside the store and requested that she return with him inside of the store. The report stated that the female subject slipped out of her jacket and fled on foot from the store, leaving behind a package of shrimp and a package of ribs.
Assault, 1500 Block Briarwood Drive: At approximately 6:30 A.M. on Thursday, January 21, 2010, a female victim was assaulted by her boyfriend. According to the report, the female subject's child was ill and she requested that her boyfriend drive her and her child to a hospital emergency room, but the boyfriend attempted to take the child from her and grabbed her by her throat. The report stated that the boyfriend was not located, that the child was not injured, and that no injuries were visible on the victim. According to the report, the victim's mother transported the victim and child to a hospital emergency room.
Criminal Mischief, 200 Block Brooks Street: At approximately 9:15 P.M. on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, a vehicle was damaged while parked in the 200 Block of Brooks Street. According to the report, a resident of a neighboring MHMR home was observed knocking on the doors of the victim's residence and another neighbor's residence and then running away. The report stated that when a Lufkin Police Department Officer spoke with the subject, the subject stated that the other neighbor scratched the victim's car but that the damage to the vehicle's paint was unknown prior to the subject pointing it out. The subject was issue a Criminal Trespass Warning Form for the victim's residence and the subject's caregiver was informed to the incident.
Theft, 1201 West Frank Avenue: Between the hours of 4:00 P.M. and 6:30 P.M. on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, a wallet was stolen from an employee lounge at 1201 West Frank Avenue. According to the report, the wallet, which contained the victim's driver's license, social security card, and several credit cards, was removed from a pair of pants left on top of a locker in an employee lounge and the victim stated that another employee's mobile telephone was stolen from the employee lounge during the same period of time. The report stated that, following the initial filing of the report, the victim notified Lufkin Police Department that an unknown actor attempted to utilize several of his credit cards to pay for purchases at area stores. According to the report, an employee from one of the stores provided a description of the person attempting to utilize the victim's credits cards, and the subject's actions were captured by the store's security video camera system.
Burglary/Vehicle, 4200 South Medford Drive: Between the hours of 6:15 P.M. and 6:34 P.M. on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, a vehicle was burglarized while parked at a business located at 4200 South Medford Drive. According to the report, the victim did not lock the vehicle's doors and the actor(s) removed from the vehicle a mobile telephone and digital camera.
Burglary/Building, 2400 Block North Medford Drive: Between the hours of 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 and 12:59 P.M. on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, a building, which is located in the 4200 block of North Medford Drive and was damaged by last month's tornado, was burglarized. According to the report, an unknown actor(s) forced entry into the building damaging the rear entry door and door frame; a stove located near the door was also damaged by the forced entry. The report stated that two electric stoves were removed from the building.
