NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) – Stephen F. Austin State University opened their $13 state-of the art nursing facility Sunday afternoon. The Richard and Lucille DeWitt School of Nursing building is designed to give nursing students a real hospital setting, something students say will serve them well.
"All the technology and stuff is going to help me practice on all the simulations and new equipment to help us better respond to patients," said Michelle Williams, senior nursing student at SFA.
School officials say nursing is the second largest major at SFA. They believe the new facility will attract future nursing students to SFA.
