1/29/10 Lufkin Police report

Disturbance/Domestic, 100 Block Pinewood Circle: At approximately 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 28, 2010, a female victim was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend, the father of her child, in the 100 block of Pinewood Circle.  According to the report, the suspect struck the victim's face, back, and shoulder with his fist while the victim was seated in her vehicle but the victim and suspect had left the scene prior to Lufkin Police Department Officers arriving.    The report stated that when spoken to by telephone the victim stated that she did not wish to pursue a charge of assault against the suspect but due to the family relationship between the victim and suspect, the officers filed an assault report.

 

Burglary, 3500 South First Street: Between the hours of 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 28, 2010, a vehicle was burglarized while parked at 3500 South First Street.  According to the report, the vehicle was left unlocked while parked outside the Angelina College Math and Science building and an unknown actor(s) entered the vehicle and removed a purse containing cash, a debit card, a driver's license, and a social security card.

 

Criminal Mischief, 2700 Block South Medford Drive: At approximately 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 28, 2010, three male, juvenile subjects hid in a wooded area near a business located in the 2700 block of South Medford Drive while one of them fired a BB gun at three vehicles, damaging two of the vehicles' windshields and a side window of the third vehicle.  According to the report, an employee of the business witnessed the juveniles' actions and chased them from the scene.  When located and spoken to by Lufkin Police Department officers in the presence of their parents, one of the juveniles admitted to firing the shots that damaged the vehicles.

 

Burglary/Vehicle, Lubbock Street at Paul Avenue: Between the hours of 6:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 28, 2010, a vehicle was burglarized with parked near the intersection of Lubbock Street and Paul Avenue.  According to the report, the victim left the vehicle parked at that location while working at a nearby construction site and when he returned to the vehicle he discovered that prescription pain medication had been stolen from it.  The report stated that no signs of forced entry into the vehicle were observed.

 

Burglary/Habitation, 400 Block Davis Street:    Between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 28, 2010, a residence in the 400 block of Davis Street was burglarized.  According to the report, the actor(s) entered the residence through a kitchen window and removed from the residence a video game system and two laptop computers.

 

Burglary/Vehicle, 400 Block North Timberland Drive: Between the hours of 1:30 P.M. and 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 28, 2010, a vehicle was burglarized while parked outside of a grocery store located in the 400 block of North Timberland Drive.  According to the report, an unknown actor(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed a purse containing cash, an identification card, a social security card, and prescription medication.

Burglary/Vehicle, 400 Block Abney Avenue: Between the hours of 5:00 A.M. and 8:30 A.M. on Thursday, January 28, 2010, a pickup truck was burglarized while parked outside the owner's residence, located in the 400 block of Abney Avenue.  According to the report, an unknown actor(s) forced entry into the vehicle by breaking one of the vehicle's side windows and then entered the camper area of the vehicle by breaking a window separating the vehicle's passenger compartment and the camper area.  The report stated that a .25 caliber pistol, a winch, a welding machine, and multiple tools were among the items removed from the vehicle, and that blood left behind by the actor(s) was collected as evidence.
