LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) – Lufkin High School students in the building trades program are raising money for their SillsUSA Habitat for Humanity Community Service Project.  They're inviting everyone to see their habitat house and get some good barbeque Saturday.

From ten to four your seven dollar donation will get you a plate of brisket, potato salad, bread and a drink.  For five bucks you get two hot dogs, chips and a drink.

"We're inviting everybody out to get something to eat.  It's going to be fun," said Shelby Gilstrip, 11th grade lead designer on the project.

There will also be a raffle for prizes that include a free oil change and food from El Chico.

You will also get a chance to see what's been completed on the Habitat for Humanity Home so far.  There are already plans for more Habitat homes in the future.

"This is not going to be the only house.  We're going to try and do at least two next year."

The barbeque fundraiser is being held at Lufkin High School's Building Trades Facility Saturday.
