SAN AUGUSTINE COUNTY, TX (KTRE)- A teenage girl was killed in a single vehicle crash in San Augustine County Friday.
According to a DPS report, around eight pm, the Chevrolet was headed Southwest on Highway 147, roughly a mile from 103 East, when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
Driver Tiffany Leann Hicks, 29, from San Augustine, was taken to San Augustine Memorial Hospital in stable condition, with a broken ankle.
Winter Leann Foster, 15, from Bronson, was pronounced dead by Doctor Watson at San Augustine Memorial Hospital at 9:21 pm.
Her body was taken to Jefferson County Morgue.
The trooper on scene said Hicks was wearing her seatbelt, but Foster was not.
Next of kin have been notified.
