2/2/10 Lufkin Police report

Assault                 300 Block South End Boulevard

At approximately 10:55 P.M. on Monday, February 1, 2010, an adult, male subject received a minor laceration to his hand during an altercation with a juvenile, male subject in the 300 block of South End Boulevard.  According to the report, two juvenile, male subjects stated that they were approached by several adult, male subjects and that one of the juveniles used a pocket knife to stab at one of the adults who had attempted to steal his bicycle.  The report stated that the adult, subjects reported that they confronted the juveniles over the juveniles displaying a knife and threatening people and that one of the juveniles used a pocket knife to cut the hand of one of the adults.

 

Harassment        100 Block Shady Bend Drive

Between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 9:30 P.M. on Monday, February 1, 2010, a known male subject sent harassing text and multimedia messages to a female subject.  According to the report, the female victim stated that she received approximately seventy (70) text and multimedia messages from the male suspect, including nude images of the male suspect.  The report stated that the suspect also spoke by telephone with the victim's boyfriend and that during the telephone conversation the suspect threatened to kill the boyfriend.

 

Burglary/Vehicle                             1700 Block West Frank Avenue

Between the hours of 8:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. on Monday, February 1, 2010, a vehicle was burglarized while parked in an employee parking lot in the 1700 block of West Frank Avenue.  According to the report, a witness observed two male suspects near the vehicle in the parking lot and the suspects fled the area by vehicle when the witness approached them.  The report stated that a driver's side window on the vehicle was broken and a GPS unit was removed from the vehicle, and that the witness provided a description of the suspects, a description of the suspects' vehicle and its license plate.

 

Criminal Mischief                            1700 Block West Frank Avenue

Between the hours of 8:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. on Monday, February 1, 2010, a vehicle was damaged during an attempted burglary while the vehicle was parked in an employee parking lot in the 1700 block of West Frank Avenue.  According to the report, the vehicle's owner observed two male suspects near the vehicle in the parking lot and the suspects fled the area by vehicle when the vehicle's owner approached them.  The report stated that a door on the driver's side of the vehicle was damaged during the incident, and that the vehicle's owner provided a description of the suspects, a description of the suspects' vehicle and its license plate.

 

Criminal Mischief                            700 Block Glenn Avenue

At approximately 8:25 P.M. on Monday, February 1, 2010, window of a residence located in the 700 block of Glenn Avenue was broken by a brick.  According to the report, the victim was seated in her living room when the window was broken by the brick but she did not observe the person who threw the brick.

 

 

Theft                     1900 Block South First Street

At approximately 6:30 P.M. on Monday, February 1, 2010, a male and female suspect committed the offense of Theft of Service at a restaurant located in the 1900 block of South First Street.  According to the report, the male and female suspects, along with two small children, ordered and consumed a meal of the total value of $30.29 but left the restaurant without making payment.  The report stated that employees provided the license plate of the suspects' vehicle as well as a description of the suspects.

 

Assault/A            1400 Block Travis Street

Between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 8:00 A.M. on Monday, February 1, 2010, a verbal and physical altercation occurred between a husband and wife at their residence located in the 1400 block of Travis Street.  According to the report, following a verbal argument, the wife locked the husband outside of the residence when he exited the residence to retrieve a cigar and refused to retrieve one for her.  The report stated that a physical altercation occurred after the wife unlocked the door and the husband reentered the residence and that the husband fled the scene prior to Lufkin Police Department Officers arriving.  The report stated that the wife reported that she was pushed by the husband and that the husband struck her lip with his fist, causing a laceration.  The report stated that the wife's adult daughter was inside of the residence during the disturbance and that the daughter stated that over the last two years she has witnessed multiple verbal and physical altercations between the husband and wife and that this date she heard a verbal argument but did not witness a physical altercation.
